In this curriculum, students will learn about the fundamental resources relied upon by Forensic Experts, were to find them, and use.

Acquire Comprehensive Knowledge of Occupational Resources: Understand the variety and scope of resources available for vocational experts, including the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), O*NET, and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, and how these resources contribute to occupational data analysis.
  2. Enhance Skills in Utilizing Computer Software and Online Platforms: Gain proficiency in using specific vocational and rehabilitation software tools such as MVQS, SkillTran, and the Work Limitations (WL) Tables, enhancing the ability to perform detailed job analyses and labor market surveys.
  3. Understand the Professional Role and Ethical Considerations: Develop a clear understanding of the vocational expert's role, the importance of neutrality in client-evaluation relationships, and the ethical guidelines governing practice, including distinguishing between clients and evaluees in various vocational and forensic contexts.
